Newcastle United fans have warned Eddie Howe that his side need to 'win early' against Nottingham Forest due to their lack of squad depth on the bench.
The Magpies head into the game looking to make it back-to-back victories in the Premier League following their 2-1 win over Wolves last weekend. Forest's strong home record in the league will present Howe's side with a difficult task as they look to close the gap to fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur down to just a single point.
A place in the Champions League next season is still in Newcastle's hands as they look to claim all three points and put pressure on Spurs ahead of their trip to St Mary's to take on Southampton on Saturday afternoon. Antonio Conte's side ran out 3-1 winners in Forest's last top-flight game, meaning that Steve Cooper's squad come into the game tonight without victory in their last five league matches.

Forest have never beaten Newcastle in the Premier League and Howe will be hoping to pile on the misery as he named an unchanged starting XI at the City Ground. Miguel Almiron's rumoured pre-match absence was one of the major talking points ahead of the game and fans' fears were sadly confirmed after the 29-year-old was left out of the travelling party for Friday night's game in its entirety.
And as news of Howe's team selection started to emerge, supporters were quick to share their views as they took to social media to warn the Newcastle boss that he cannot afford to rely on his options coming off the bench to change the game for him.
