Newcastle United supporters have warned that this is 'only the start' after Eddie Howe's side were beaten 2-0 by Manchester United in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium this afternoon.
It took 33 minutes for the deadlock to be broken but Man United midfielder Casemiro was the one who found the opening goal as he nodded past Loris Karius to give Erik ten Hag's side the lead.
Their lead was doubled five minutes later when Marcus Rashford's shot from close range was deflected above the Magpies goalkeeper's reach by Sven Botman, with the defender being credited with the own goal despite Rashford's celebrations.
