Newcastle United fans believe Elliot Anderson must be close to earning a first Premier League start following an impressive late cameo against Wolves. The academy graduate hit the crossbar in added time as the Magpies fought back to earn a 1-1 draw at Molineux on Sunday.
Eddie Howe's side were without both Bruno Guimaraes and Callum Wilson, while record signing Alexander Isak was not signed in time to make his debut in black-and-white. The visitors controlled possession, but fell behind to a long-range thunderbolt from Ruben Neves before the break.
Newcastle pushed for an equaliser, but seemed to be slipping to a first defeat of the season until Allan Saint-Maximin delivered a moment of magic. The forward pounced on a poor clearance from Hwang Hee-chan and fired an unstoppable volley beyond Jose Sa.

Anderson was introduced as a late substitute alongside Jacob Murphy, and came close to grabbing a sensational winner minutes later. However, the teenager's header struck the crossbar, and Fabian Schar was unable to convert a last-minute free-kick won on the edge of the box by the substitute.
The draw leaves Newcastle seventh in the table ahead of a midweek trip to Liverpool. Here is how United supporters reacted to the performance and the point earned against Bruno Lage's side.
