Newcastle United supporters send Eddie Howe selection message for Leicester City test

Newcastle United fans who took part in our selection poll want to see two changes to the side that won against Wolverhampton Wanderers at St. James' Park. Ryan Fraser limped out of the win with Miguel Almiron coming on for a fine cameo, with supporters giving him the nod to start in the Scotsman's place.

After the enforced change on the wing, the Toon Army are also hoping to see Joe Willock restored to the starting line-up in place of Joelinton. The Magpies midfielder sat out of the win over Wolves with an illness but has been an ever present under Eddie Howe.

Newcastle know that a win would move them a step closer to being mathematically safe ahead of a difficult run of fixtures. The Toon still have to play Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal before the curtain falls on the campaign.

So with that in mind, the Magpies supporters have named another strong line-up to face the Foxes. Martin Dubravka maintains his place between the posts with Fabian Schar and Dan Burn partners in the heart of defence.

Emil Krafth maintains his position in the team at right-back after a solid display against Wolves, with Matt Targett on the opposite flank. A midfielder trio of Willock, Bruno Guimaraes and Jonjo Shelvey presents a versatile but solid midfield three.

Almiron starts on the right with Allan Saint-Maximin on the left-hand side of Chris Wood.

Newcastle United fan XI: Dubravka; Krafth, Schar, Burn, Targett; Willock, Guimaraes, Shelves; Almiron, Wood, Saint-Maximin.
