Newcastle United supporters are surprised after Eddie Howe named an unchanged starting line-up to face Everton. Several first-team players limped off the field during Sunday's 0-0 draw away to Manchester United.
Fabian Schar and Callum Wilson were substituted while stand-in skipper Kieran Trippier also showed signs of discomfort while applauding away fans at the full-time whistle. Speaking to reporters, Howe revealed "everybody" in the squad would be assessed ahead of the game tonight.

"I think we are assessing everybody," he said. "When you have the three game week like we are in the middle of now, every day you wake up and feel better for a night's sleep. Hopefully everybody will be OK but we wait and see."
With three games in one week, Howe has opted against rotating his squad against the Toffees. Joe Willock remains a substitute after dropping to the bench because of illness at the weekend.
Despite being hooked on Sunday, Schar keep his place in the starting XI - as does Trippier. This is how supporters reacted to the news on social media.
@GeordiePaul81: Here we go…. Eddie knows WAY better than we do. Trust him lads. Come on!!!!
@LiamK1988: Ngl I’m surprised as we’ve got a game on Sunday away at Tottenham
@AlCraig90: Didn’t envisage this. Howay the lads
@GeordieJordan96: Why change a team that’s undefeated at home
@AngelNUFC: I was worried we might see Wood, but this is good. Would have liked Anderson in for Murphy.
@leerbee: Love how some people still think they know better than Howe
@JPGNEWCASTLE: WILSON TWICE IN A WEEEK WHAAAAT
@JoeToonMad1: Pretty risky to start Wilson. Hopefully can stay fit
@tynetakes: Surprised Willock isn’t in same with Targett but still a solid team. A lot of people asking for anderson to come in but he’s not ready imo. He’s had about 30 mins of Prem football. Could play a role off the bench tonight
