Newcastle United fans have reacted warmly to reports that the club are progressing closer to a deal for Watford forward Joao Pedro. talkSPORT claim that a €30million deal has been agreed, with transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano also claiming that Watford have accepted a bid from the Magpies consisting of a fixed fee of £25million with a further £5million.
And while talk of Watford accepting this bid at this stage has been rebutted by the Telegraph's Jason Burt, it has not stopped fans from delivering their verdict on the Watford forward potentially joining the club. be until 2028
Fans are excited by the prospect of the young Brazilian coming to Tyneside, but there is also hope that Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta will join a growing Brazilian contingent at the club.
Here is a look at what Magpies fans are saying about the possibility of landing the Hornets forward on Twitter...
@ProbationSteve Cracking signing - the lad will bloom under Eddie Howe - he looks really good and perfect for what we need - young lad coming off the bench or playing right wing.
@kevymartins Pedro and Paqueta would be above and beyond.
@cube5542 He'll flourish under Howe.
@jduffynufc Versatile, can play striker as well as on the wing. Doesn't take up a place as U21, only 20 and probably better than Wood.
@DiscoDan18 Welcome... now Paqueta please.
@h4jj_ Good signing - ASM, Wilson & Pedro.
@NUFC____ This guy has such a high ceiling. Sort his decision making slightly and he can be a top player. Now to sign Paqueta and we are cooking.
@iTzShwordo Welcome to the TOON! Joao Pedro.
@Alan_Flack Amanda and Mehrdad quietly building the Brazil 2026 World Cup squad. Joao Pedro in, Paqueta next?
