Newcastle United supporters make big Allan Saint-Maximin call for season swansong

Newcastle United round off a hugely encouraging campaign away at Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Eddie Howe's side are guaranteed Champions League football next term regardless of today's result after a superb season. They can clinch third spot if they win and Manchester United, who currently occupy that space, drop points at home to Fulham.

With that in mind we asked Toon fans to pick their preferred starting line-up this afternoon. And supporters have opted for just two changes. Goalkeeper Nick Pope was always going to miss this game after he underwent surgery for a hand-related issue.

Martin Dubravka gets the nod from fans in what would be his first league start for United since the final day of last season.

The only other change from the team that drew with Leicester last week is up front with Allan Saint-Maximin coming into the side at the expense of record signing Alexander Isak.

Of course Howe could well shuffle his pack with the likes of Paul Dummett and Anthony Gordon potentially being afforded game time in the capital.
