Newcastle United supporters' Jonjo Shelvey verdict as Eddie Howe names team to face Man United

Newcastle United supporters were pleased to see Jonjo Shelvey back in the matchday squad after a lengthy spell on the sidelines with injury. Joelinton returned to the starting line-up at Old Trafford as Eddie Howe's side go in search of their fourth win of the campaign.

The Magpies were dealt injury blows with Allan Saint-Maximin and Alexander Isak suffering setbacks in their injury rehabilitation, with both ruled out of this afternoon's game. Joe Willock was named amongst the substitutes after reportedly suffering from an illness during the week.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Antony and Jadon Sancho all start for Manchester United at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag has also given 17-year-old Kobbie Mainoo a place on the bench.
