Newcastle United winger Ryan Fraser has been nominated for the Premier League's player of the month award in association with EA Sports. The Scotland international picked up the man of the match honours in the 2-0 victory over Brentford at the weekend and also weighed in with a goal against Everton last month.
Fraser has gone in with his Scotland team-mate Che Adams, Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane, Liverpool's Joel Matip, Burnley's Ben Mee and Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha for the February award.

For Fraser it is rich reward for rediscovering the type of form he had at AFC Bournemouth under the guidance of Eddie Howe. Fraser has spoken highly of his relationship with the Toon boss since he was appointed as boss in November.
After an unbeaten month, Eddie Howe will also be a contender for manager of the month following wins against Everton, Aston Villa and Brentford and the draw against West Ham. Newcastle take on Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend at St James' Park looking to cement 14th place in the Premier League table and close the gap on the top 10.
