Newcastle United have released their new list of squad numbers for the 2022/23 campaign ahead of their Premier League opener against Nottingham Forest.
Despite signing England international Nick Pope, Howe opted against any controversial decisions and kept Martin Dubravka in the number 1 shirt. Pope has been allocated 22 for the new season after his move from Burnley.
Kieran Trippier's new number will be 2 after wearing 15 last season when coming in from Atletico Madrid. Newcastle's other summer signing Matt Targett is 13. Big money signing Sven Botman will wear the number 4 shirt in his debut season on Tyneside.
Matty Longstaff remains on board at Newcastle and will wear the 27 shirt while youngster Elliot Anderson gets 32 after getting the nod to stay at the club.
