Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe will meet up later this month with sporting director Dan Ashworth and Toon owners to discuss the club's January window strategy.
Howe will have money to freshen up his squad in the winter window but knows that the current squad still have another level to reach. Indeed, Allan Saint-Maximin, Jonjo Shelvey and Alexander Isak still aren't fully fit and will be contention to start games after the World Cup break.
But with Newcastle now moving towards the new year they find themselves in the top three and have a chance to really cash in when it comes to the Champions League and the riches it offers.

When asked about January, Howe, speaking after the 1-0 win over Chelsea, said: "We haven’t really had those discussions (about transfers) yet. I’m not sure when we’re due to have those discussions about January, but of course, we will at some stage.
"There’s still some time away from it, and my priority is always the players we have here. We still have a couple of players that we need to get fully fit, that we’ve missed, that we feel could make a huge difference to us. That’s an exciting prospect.
"We have Financial Fair Play, those dreaded words, and I’m not sure what limitations that puts upon us for January. There’s lots to discuss, but I think my main aim at the minute is to try to get the players that we do have in the best possible condition when the season restarts."
