Newcastle United's England World Cup trio of Nick Pope, Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson have been handed a huge EURO 2024 boost with the news Gareth Southgate is set to continue as the Three Lions manager.
There had been plenty of speculation pre-World Cup whether or not Southgate, who would be entering into his third tournament as England boss, would continue past the tournament out in Qatar.
And in the wake of England's recent 2-1 defeat to France in the quarterfinals, the former Middlesbrough defender admitted he was considering his future.

However, that speculation has now been put to bed, with an FA statement from chief executive Mark Bullingham confirming the 52-year-old will continue in post for England's EURO 2024 campaign.
The statement read: "We are delighted to confirm that Gareth Southgate is continuing as England manager and will lead our Euro 2024 campaign. Gareth and (assistant) Steve Holland have always had our full support and our planning for the Euros starts now."
That news will likely be a positive for Pope, Trippier and Wilson, who were all handed their England debut's by Southgate.
The Newcastle Trio were selected for the winter World Cup, with Trippier and Wilson both featuring for the the Three Lions while Pope, alongside Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale, served as back-up to goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
All three players have played a pivotal part in Newcastle's transformation and will be key in helping the Magpies continue to establish themselves as a quality Premier League outfit.
Come the next European Championships, Trippier will be 33 and Pope and Wilson will be 31.
With Southgate usually preferring to select players familiar to him over players he has had little time working with previously, that would mean Pope, Trippier and Wilson will, form permitting, all be in the frame for a EURO 2024 call-up.
