The start date for the 2023/24 Premier League season has been officially confirmed.
With the season slated to start on 12 August 2023, it means Newcastle United's opening Premier League fixture will either be played on the 12 or 13 August.
The final round of Premier League action will conclude on Sunday 19 May 2024, with all 10 fixtures set to take place at the same time.

The 2023/24 season will also see the Premier League return to it's normal schedule following the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2022 World Cup.
Eddie Howe's players will also be handed a mini mid-season break, which will take place between 13-20 January. Overall, there will be 34 weekends of action, with three midweek rounds and one Bank Holiday match round.
Given how well the Magpies are performing this term, it will be interesting to see whether or not Newcastle's schedule will include any European football.
Newcastle sit third heading into the upcoming World Cup break, and are guaranteed to be in one of the four Champions League spots even if they lose to Chelsea on Saturday at St James' Park.
