Here are the latest Newcastle United transfer rumours on Tuesday, 9 August 2022.
Gallagher enquiry
Newcastle United have reportedly made an enquiry for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher. That is according to 90min.com, who claim that Crystal Palace and West Ham United have also approached the Blues over his availability.
Chelsea are said to have no plans to let Gallagher leave this summer, who is intent on making his breakthrough into their first team. Gallagher only played one minute of football at Goodison Park on Saturday and is behind several midfielders in the pecking order.
Sesko Leipzig
Red Bull Leipzig are set to win the race for Red Bull Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko, according to Fabrizio Romano. He claims that the two clubs have agreed a deal for Sesko to join next summer in order to give him another year of development in Austria.

Newcastle, along with Chelsea and Manchester United, have been heavily linked with a move for Sesko throughout the window. However, it appears as though he will not be coming to the Premier League as he makes the familiar step from Salzburg to Leipzig.
Transfers
Newcastle United are considering a fresh bid for Everton star Anthony Gordon with Leicester City still reluctant to sell James Maddison.
The Magpies were met with similar resistance to the Maddison offer on Gordon earlier this summer when they were believed to have submitted a £35million bid for the winger. Back then Everton stated Gordon was "not for sale" but there could yet be a tipping point for the Toffees and with injuries mounting up Frank Lampard's side may have to reinvest in their squad to avoid another battle against relegation.
Both Yerry Mina and Ben Godfrey picked up injuries at the weekend and they may need a cash injection to help bring in replacements.
