Newcastle United will look to hold talks with Castore about the future after inheriting a "multi-year" contract from the old regime.
The deal included allowing Castore to operate the club shop at the Gallowgate End and bring in their own staff. It remains to be seen how long the agreement with the Manchester-based manufacturers goes on for.
It is expected that the club's new CEO Darren Eales will hold talks with Castore about how the relationship benefits both parties. Newcastle are set to end their agreement wth Fun88 a year early and the Chinese firm will no longer be on shirts next term.
One thing that did shock the club's new owners when they took over was the budget deals that Newcastle's previous owner Mike Ashley had agreed for the club. The Fun88 deal is only worth £7million a year while the Castore partnership is worth just a reported £5million annually for the Magpies.
But Newcastle can't walk away from an inherited agreement without the agreement of both parties. In comparison, Arsenal netted a £300million deal over five years with Adidas. Liverpool's agreement with Nike is worth £450million until 2026.
Since Newcastle were taken over the club have had interest from some of the biggest brands in the sporting world while the man who brought Adidas to the table for Arsenal in Peter Silveston is arriving as commercial guru at St James' Park soon.
Fans would love to see the return of Adidas with the brand famous for providing the famous grandad collar kit of the 1990s and a range of sweatshirts and tracksuits that are still - incredibly - on show on match days three decades later!
Bruno Guimaraes fee would need to be astronomical
The Brazil star was signed for just £40million back in January from Lyon as Newcastle caught the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus cold. The La Liga giants are still interested but there is no escape clause in Bruno's deal which runs until 2026.
The potential of Bruno's valuation is only likely to rise if he has a good World Cup in Qatar. It means that Real Madrid would have to pay a crazy fee for his services.
And they would probably have to top the £103million fee they splashed out on Eden Hazard back in 2019 to get Bruno. Even then Newcastle feel they are going places and Eddie Howe stated he wanted to build a team around the Brazilian ace.
No timeframe for Alexander Isak
The Sweden international is nursing a thigh injury picked up on international duty and misses this weekend's trip to Old Trafford. But Eddie Howe is treading carefully with the £63million man.
With another home game against Everton fast approaching, Isak will not be risked in midweek either unless he satisfies Howe and his backroom team. The trip to Spurs next Sunday may be a better option for the striker.
