Newcastle United international watch: Where and when to see Magpies players play

Newcastle United currently sit tenth in the Premier League and will have to wait until the start of October for their next game against Fulham due to the international break.

Eddie Howe's squad will be depleted for the next two weeks as much of his squad have been called up to represent their countries during the international break.

Whether it be players being called up for their countries for UEFA Nations League matches or just friendlies, here are the players that have been called up and the matches they'll be playing in.

Kieran Trippier and Nick Pope - England

The first Newcastle duo to play for England since Alan Smith and Michael Owen, Trippier and Pope have been selected into Gareth Southgate's 28-man squad for the next round of UEFA Nations League matches.

Their first match is against Italy on Friday, September 23 with kick-off at 19:45 while their next match will be against historic rivals Germany on Monday, September 26 with kick-off also at 19:45.

Fans will be able to watch both matches on Channel 4 with coverage of the Italy game starting at 19:00.

Ryan Fraser - Scotland

Ryan Fraser could find his 23rd cap in Wednesday's game against Ukraine which kicks-off at 19:45. The 28-year-old might also find game time in Scotland's other two fixtures during the break against Ireland on Saturday, September 24 (19:45) and their second game against Ukraine on Tuesday, September 27 (19:45).

Elliott Anderson and Lucas de Bolle - Scotland Under-21s

Both Newcastle youngsters have been called up for the two friendlies against Northern Ireland Under-21s on Thursday, September 22 (14:30) and Sunday, 25 September (14:00).

Jamal Lewis - Northern Ireland

The Newcastle left-back has 26 senior caps for his country and could represent them in their Nations League matches against Kosovo on Saturday, September 24 (17:00) and against Greece on Tuesday, September 27 (19:45).

Fabian Schar - Switzerland

Fabian Schar could feature in both of Switzerland's games for his 72nd and 73rd senior caps for his country as they face off against Spain on Saturday, September 24 (19:45) and Czech Republic on Tuesday, September 27 (19:45).

Switzerland currently sit bottom of their Nations league group, having only won one game out of four - a 1-0 win against Portugal back in June.

Alexander Isak - Sweden

At just 22, Alexander Isak already has 37 senior caps for Sweden and will certainly feature for their next two matches in the Nations League.

They face off against Serbia on Saturday, September 24 (19:45) and Slovenia on Tuesday, September 27 (19:45) in their last two matches of the group as they are currently third.

Sven Botman - Netherlands Under-21s

The 22-year-old has been selected for the Netherlands Under-21s for their two friendlies against Belgium Under-21s on Friday, September 23 (16:30) and Romania Under-21s on Tuesday, September 27 (15:00).

Chris Wood - New Zealand

Chris Wood, vice-captain of the All Whites, has been selected in the 26-man New Zealand squad for their two friendlies against Australia this week.

The first match is Thursday, September 22 with kick-off at 11:00am and the second on Sunday, September 25 with kick-off at 04:00am.

Bruno Guimaraes - Brazil

Newcastle man Bruno Guimaraes was called up to the Brazil national team, looking to get his ninth senior cap for his country as they take on Ghana on Friday, September 23 (19:30) and Tunisia on Tuesday, September 27 (19:30) in friendlies. Both matches will be played in France.

Miguel Almiron - Paraguay

Miguel Almiron will try and help Paraguay win their friendlies against the United Arab Emirates on Friday, September 23 (18:00) as well as their match against Morocco on Tuesday, September 27 (20:00).
