Newcastle face fresh competition for Sven Botman's signature
Newcastle are set to do battle with European giants Paris Saint Germain in the race for Lille defender Sven Botman.
The Dutch defender was subject to interest from Newcastle in January, but they failed to reach an agreement for the Lille centre-back.
Reports in France suggest that PSG are now ready to enter the race for Botman's signature with the Parisians willing to pay Lille's €40m asking price.
Alongside PSG, Newcastle are still competing with AC Milan for Botman. A takeover attempt of the Serie A champions is thought to have slowed down negotiations between Botman and Milan.

Magpies target Lucas Paqueta wants to leave Lyon
Newcastle United target Lucas Paqueta wants to leave Lyon this summer it has been reported.
The Brazilian midfielder has been linked with a move to Tyneside this summer which would see him team up with close friend Bruno Guimaraes.
French outlet L'Equipe report that Paqueta wants to depart Lyon before the end of the transfer window.
However, the 24-year-old will not come cheap, with his release fee clause currently standing at €70m (£60m).

Shola Ameobi excited by Newcastle starlet Elliot Anderson
Newcastle United loan manager Shola Ameobi is excited by the prospect of seeing starlet Elliot Anderson being involved in Eddie Howe's pre-season plans ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
The 19-year-old impressed for Bristol Rovers last season, helping the Gas to a dramatic final day of the season promotion.
"We're excited as a club to have him back and see where he is at," Ameobi told ChronicleLive.
