Rangnick facing revolt
Man Utd interim boss Ralf Rangnick has caused chaos in the Old Trafford dressing room after his comments on the Jesse Lingard saga.
The Red Devils manager went public to reveal the England international had asked for time off after his loan move to Newcastle broke down.
Now, according to The Mirror, Rangnick has angered Man Utd players further by doubling down on his claims.
Lingard's contract is up at the end of the season and he was left out of the squad for the shock 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough.
‘Outstanding’ signings excites Barton
Former Magpies right-back Warren Barton has told ChronicleLive that he is excited by the club’s recent transfer business.
Five new additions arrived at St James’ Park last month as the new consortium splashed the cash to help Eddie Howe keep Newcastle in the Premier League.
And Barton, who spent seven years on Tyneside, is impressed by their recruitment.
“The owners went after a lot of high-profile players and didn't get bullied or manipulated into spending too much money,” he said.
“It’s been difficult, but we’ve been able to get an England international, a Brazilian International, a New Zealand International and two players that have got pedigree of playing in the Premier League.
“So I think when you've put that into context, it’s been an outstanding transfer window.

Youngster given chance to impress
Toon youngster Michael Ndiweni is training with the first team after impressing for Peter Ramage’s U18 side.
A failed deadline-day bid for Reims striker Hugo Ekitike has left the Magpies squad looking short up front due to Callum Wilson’s injury.
Howe has taken the extended break in the season to have a closer look at Ndiweni, who is from the west end of Newcastle.
Muller move ‘unlikely’
Newcastle are ‘unlikely’ to sign German football legend Thomas Muller this summer, according to BILD journalist Christian Falk.
The 2014 World Cup winner - who has 18 months left on his current deal- had been linked with a move to Tyneside last month.
However, Falk has refuted those claims and expects the 32-year-old’s contract situation to be resolved in the next few weeks.
“The contract situation with Thomas (Muller) will probably be with us for weeks,” he told the Bayern Insider podcast.
“You read it, I reported it; Everton and Newcastle are already getting their hopes up.
“I don’t think that’s going to happen, but of course, other clubs are now paying attention to Thomas, so Bayern should get a move on.”
