Eddie Howe believes that St James' Park will be fully charged for the visit of Crystal Palace - and wants fans to use the burning anger of the injustice of Anfield to help fuel his players after a tough road trip schedule.
Fábio Carvalho's 98th-minute winner at Liverpool was salt into open wounds with Howe feeling that the game should have been up moments after Joelinton's attack in the Reds' half. But ref Andre Marriner kept going and eventually awarded a corner which Liverpool cashed in on in the dying seconds.
Howe said: "I expect St. James' Park to be rocking again. "I think the Anfield experience at the end there will hopefully get the crowd into the game from minute one, and certainly I want to see a positive reaction from my team from what happened.
"Crystal Palace have done very well this season. They've had a tough fixture list themselves, as we have, and they've managed themselves well through those tough encounters."
Howe is hardly exaggerating about Newcastle's fixture list either with trips to Tranmere, Wolverhampton and Liverpool in the space of a week. In between training Howe has also crammed in SIX Press conferences on either side of the matches and spent the best part of two hours taking questions from journalists during compulsory media duties!
Speaking about the hectic schedule, Howe said: "The three away games have been testing for us in a real short space of time - a lot of travelling - so we're delighted to be back in front of our own supporters. I think the away games do test you in different ways and with three in quick succession, physically the players have done very, very well."
The only slight niggle for Howe is whether his side can lift themselves physically for Palace. Newcastle are already carrying a series of injuries to star players and players were exhausted after the agonising Anfield experience.
Howe said: "I think our physical performance against Liverpool was excellent and it needed to be, to be competitive in the game.
"The big challenge for us is that we need to get back to that level two days later, which is a challenge, but one that we've done before. I think that's going to be crucial in this game."
