Newcastle United supporters have been left worried by a potentially serious ankle injury Bruno Guimaraes picked up in the first half of the Magpies game against Fulham.
The midfielder, who has been one of Newcastle's key players this season, had to be substituted at half-time, with Guimaraes walking off the pitch at St James' Park in tears.
The injury occurred when Guimaraes appeared to roll his ankle while chasing down Fulham's Joao Palhinha.

While he received treatment, which included getting his ankle heavily strapped up, the Brazilian had to be brought off, with Allan Saint-Maximin replacing him.
Should the injury prove significant, it could be a huge blow to Newcastle's fortunes this term. The Magpies are a worse side without Guimaraes and his injury could alter the business the club look to do in the January transfer market.
And while it should be noted Guimaraes was able to walk off under his own weight, it has still left Newcastle supporters on social media worried...
@Geordie_Hollie7 tweeted: "Sign some players. Danger of literally throwing away such a good first half of the season"
@KieranNUFC_ tweeted: "Heartbroken for him"
@Sh3llr tweeted: "Hope it’s not too serious! Speedy recovery, Bruno"
@LawesDisorder tweeted: "With Bruno injured, it is now essential we sign a quality CM in the next week or so."
@PA70ULH tweeted: "I’m not a doctor or a physio but Bruno looks as if he will miss a few weeks. We are light in midfield. Need to dip in to the market now."
@GeordieMark3 tweeted: "If Bruno's injury is serious then the physio has a few questions to be asked of him. Cling on to the fact he played on until half time. I have done ankle ligaments and could hardly walk so hopefully it's not that bad"
