Newcastle United suffered another frustrating result in the Premier League as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Watford at St. James’ Park.
The Magpies took the lead shortly after the interval thanks to Allan Saint-Maximin’s goal but failed to build on their lead and were made to pay just three minutes from time when Joao Pedro headed in an equaliser.
Boos rang around St James’ Park upon the sound of referee Paul Tierney’s whistle and that is perhaps reflected in supporters’ player ratings in Chronicle Live’s vote.

New signing Kieran Trippier, though, was given a seal of approval by Magpies fans, receiving a rating of seven, which was the highest of any player in Eddie Howe’s side.
But on the other end of the scale was club captain Jamaal Lascelles, who at just 3.3, was comfortably the worst performer in the eyes of supports, perhaps furthering the need for a centre back to come in sooner rather than later.
Both Joelinton and Saint-Maximin were also among the most highly rated on Saturday, with the former receiving a 6.7 and the latter a 6.5.
However, other than the afore mentioned trio of players, it is almost all downhill from there on in.
Paul Dummett was handed a respectable six on his first appearance of the season, while Martin Dubravka and Ryan Fraser received just shy of that.
On his debut for the club, Chris Wood seemingly struggled to make a strong first impression in front of his new set of supporters, with a rating of 5.2.
In the eyes of the Magpies contingent, though, midfield duo Jonjo Shelvey and Sean Longstaff earned ratings of 4.7 and 4.6 respectively, highlighting the struggles Newcastle faced in controlling the game.
