Howe fearful of complacency
Eddie Howe has spoken about Newcastle's "biggest danger" going into the second half of the season - and underlined the importance of the fans in what he sees as a pivotal night against AFC Bournemouth.
He told Chronicle Live: "I think it is very difficult because this season - as we've said - is so unlike any other. The season almost starts again. When we restart the form we previously had there is no guarantee we will continue. We have to earn the right and start all over again.

"I think the biggest danger we can have is to think how well we have done over this current break. We can't relax and be in that mood."

Arsenal urged to sign ASM
World Cup winner Emmanuel Petit has told his former club to sign Allan Saint-Maximin as a replacement for Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian striker is facing up to three months on the sidelines after undergoing surgery last week in a bid to repair a knee injury he sustained at the World Cup with Brazil.
Speaking to Football Betting, Petit said: "I'm so sad for Gabriel Jesus, honestly. He's been doing a great job for Arsenal. I love watching him smile on the pitch and he has fit perfectly with Arteta and Arsenal.
"They need reinforcements in the transfer market. There was talk about Goncalo Ramos and although he scored a hat-trick against Switzerland, I think it's too early.
"He didn't have any impact against Morocco. No headers, no runs, no hold up. He disappeared on the pitch yesterday and I think he's a good player, he's doing a good job at Benfica but he's not my first option.
"Zaha from Palace, Saint-Maximin from Newcastle or Pulisic from Chelsea would be my three they should target. Pulisic will fit perfectly with what Arteta wants, he loves playing one-touch football with good movement and he lives in London so it will be an easy switch."

Toon fans on Bruce
West Brom climbed out of the Championship relegation zone courtesy of a 2-1 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Monday evening.
Carlos Corberan has collected four wins from his first five games at the helm to slowly banish the memories of West Brom's nightmare under Steve Bruce.
Newcastle and West Brom fans have been been quick to highlight the remarkable difference at the Hawthorns since Bruce's sacking.

Newcastle fans have been treated to some star centre-backs down the years - Bob Moncur, Philippe Albert, and Jonathan Woodgate but to name a few, but there have also been some pretty poor ones - and, for many, Jean-Alain Boumsong was near the top of that list.
Signed in the January of 2005, the Frenchman arrived from Rangers for a hefty £8m price tag after only arriving on a free just months prior.
He had played 27 games in all competitions for Rangers, and in truth had looked decent but for the scout who signed him on a free, the news that Newcastle now wanted to buy him left him feeling 'torn.'
That's because for Paul Montgomery, Newcastle was his club. He supported them and scouted for them, recommending the likes of Jermaine Jenas and Oliver Bernard to Sir Bobby Robson.
But now it was Rangers paying his wages - and all he could do was watch as rumours of United's interest turned into a reality.

Fernandez's woes
Federico Fernandez has endured a torrid time since leaving St. James' Park in the summer to join La Liga side Elche. The basement side in Spain's top division have picked up just four points and are without a win so far this season.
The Argentinian defender has played just once for his new side this season, with injury problems continuing to blight his campaign. Reports earlier this year suggested Elche were planning to negotiate an early exit from the 33-year-old's contract, with fellow Argentine Javier Pastore also set to leave the club.
Although there has been no official announcement from the club in reference to the duo's contracts, Elche head coach Pablo Machin addressed the situation at a press conference.
