Guimarães deal details
Newcastle United have completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães from Lyon.
The £33.5m deal will include add-ons that could take the deal to over the £35m mark. The contract runs until 2026.
Newcastle head of recruitment Steve Nickson has been in Brazil to oversee the transfer while the 24-year-old has been with his national team for the World Cup qualifiers.
Eddie Howe said of the signing: "Bruno is a hugely exciting talent and has been one of our primary targets so I'm delighted to secure him."
Lyon published financial details, saying: "Olympique Lyonnais announces the transfer of Brazilian international midfielder Bruno Guimarães to English club Newcastle for a total amount (including bonuses)* of €50.1 million, as well as a 20% sell-on fee."

Newcastle's bid accepted for Dan Burn
The good news at Newcastle continues. As well as a new man from Brazil, the Magpies are hopefully signing a new man from Blyth, in the form of centre-back Dan Burn.
Sources at the Amex have confirmed that his current club Brighton have accepted Newcastle's £13million offer for the 6ft 7in defender, who is travelling north for a medical ahead of deadline day tomorrow.
As reported yesterday on Chronicle Live, the Magpies have spent the weekend negotiating with Albion for the Geordie defender's signature, and many Newcastle fans will be jubilant to welcome a local lad to St James' Park.

Jesse Lingard deadline day 'hope'
A move for England international Jesse Lingard appeared to be dead in the water in recent days, but a report today suggested that Newcastle have not given up hope of a deadline-day move.
This is according to 90min, who claim Lingard has agreed terms on a loan switch to St James' Park for the remainder of the season.
The website adds that while the deal broke down earlier in the window, there remains 'confidence' on both sides that an agreement will be reached before the deadline.
