Newcastle United duo Nick Pope and Fabian Schar are currently ranked at the top of the statistical charts in the Premier League for saves made and interceptions respectively.
Pope has made more saves (28) than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League and has kept three clean sheets in the process. The 30-year-old has ousted Martin Dubravka from between the sticks at St James' Park and has made an immediate impression since arriving from Burnley in the summer.
The England international made nine saves in Newcastle's goalless draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday. No goalkeeper has made more stops in a Premier League match without conceding since former Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge made 10 saves against Manchester United in May 2019.

He will be looking to continue his rich vein of form at Newcastle as he aims to dethrone Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford as England's number one ahead of this winter's World Cup in Qatar.
Another Newcastle star that has stood out during the opening stages of the campaign is centre-back Schar. He started the season with a long-range rocket in Newcastle's 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in their opening fixture.
The Swiss defender has played all but one of Newcastle's first six league matches after he was rested as a precaution for the Magpies' 2-1 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield last week.
Schar's impressive start to the season has also been reflected by the statistics with his average of 2.8 interceptions per game currently standing as the highest in the Premier League.
