Newcastle United prospect Kell Watts has secured a loan move to Peterborough United until January. The 6ft 4in defender is recovering from an injury sustained in pre-season and will look to continue his experience in the EFL.
Watts spent last season on loan at Wigan Athletic but must wait before making his Posh debut as he looks to shake off a knee problem.
Peterborough boss Grant McCann said: “I am delighted to get Kelland. He won the league with Wigan Athletic last season at this level, he is 6ft 4, strong in the air and comfortable on the ball and is a left-sided centre back, so I am pleased we have managed to get it over the line.

"He has a really good pedigree and is an excellent defender. The only downside to it is that he is currently injured, it might take him three or four weeks to get back and available for selection, but we wanted to wait for him.
"We had other options that we were exploring, but he was top of the list and we were prepared to wait because of how good a player he is.”
