Newcastle United have been dealt a fresh injury blow after Emil Krafth was carried off at Tranmere in the League Cup second round.
The Sweden international came off second best in a challenge after 37 minutes and had to be replaced by Kieran Trippier. The injury was deemed serious enough for the medical team to call for a stretcher at Prenton Park.

Howe has cover at right-back with Javier Manquillo still at the club but injury concerns are already mounting up with the final week of the transfer window almost upon us.
United fell behind in the first half as Elliott Nevitt opened the scoring before Jamaal Lascelles levelled before the break.
