Newcastle United have moved Freddie Woodman to Preston North End after the 25-year-old called time on his stint at St James' Park.
The permanent deal sees Woodman make the switch to Deepdale ahead of Preston's ambitious push for the Championship. Woodman endured a tough time at AFC Bournemouth last term and only featured in the FA Cup.
He is eager to get regular first-team action under his belt like he did at Swansea City where he managed 95 appearances. Now under Ryan Lowe at North End he will look to re-establish himself.

Woodman started last season between the posts for Newcastle under Steve Bruce when Karl Darlow and Martin Dubravka were absent.
A club statement read: "Newcastle United can confirm that goalkeeper Freddie Woodman has completed a permanent move to Championship side Preston North End.
"The 25-year-old leaves St. James' Park to join the Lilywhites for an undisclosed fee, bringing an end to his nine-year spell on Tyneside. Everyone at Newcastle United wishes Freddie the best of luck for the future."
Woodman said: "I’m absolutely delighted. It’s been a while trying to get this over the line, but I’m delighted to be here and I feel very honoured to be joining such a fantastic football club and a football club that’s going in the right direction."
And his new boss Lowe added: "We were aware Freddie wanted a new challenge and I’m really pleased we’ve got it done. We've beaten off some competition for Freddie as he's seen what we're trying to build here at Preston North End."
