Eddie Howe has described Newcastle United's last-eight clash against Leicester City as "an opportunity."
Howe tried to remain composed after the 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday on FA Cup third-round night and did not want to speak too emotionally. Yet his disappointment was clear as his side conceded two cheap goals considering the standards set this season by rock-solid United.
Now he feels that the visit of Leicester, for one of the biggest cup nights at St James' Park in years, is his team's big chance to redeem themselves.

Howe, speaking ahead of the sell out quarter-final clash encounter with the Foxes, said: "It’s an opportunity and we need to be highly motivated for the game. I am sure we will be.
"We will need real energy from everyone to get the crowd into the game. We have a lot to be positive about and need to get Saturday out of our system very quickly."
When asked if it was the biggest game of the season, Howe insisted that every game is huge for Newcastle these days. The former AFC Bournemouth manager reflected: "This is the biggest game of our season because it is the next game. But it does have a special meaning, we understand that.
"We need what we have had every home game, a brilliant atmosphere and environment where the team can excel and feel free to give their best."
Fans have been encouraged to simply bring their scarves as part of Wor Flags' Sea of black and white scarves night. This will be a throwback to the Alan Shearer testimonial night way back in 2006 when supporters twirled their flags to create a unique atmosphere.
