Newcastle United got back to winning ways with a victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Alexander Isak and Miguel Almiron grabbed United's goal either side of a Hwang Hee-chan equaliser to fire Eddie Howe's man back up to fifth.
It was near a full house at St James' Park with the crowd pushing the Magpies every inch of the way to their first victory since January 15th. It was a much-needed win with the race for the top four heating up, and the three points take United above Liverpool and within four points of Tottenham but with two games in hand of their North London rivals.
Here's five moments you may have missed from the game.
Fabian Schar's clever move
Fabian Schar was back in the XI following a concussion that saw him miss the game against Manchester City - and he put in one of his best performances of the season. Goal-shy Raul Jimenez, who hasn't scored for over a year, was the man Schar was tasked with keeping quiet - and he did with relative ease.
Schar topped the defensive statistic charts with seven clearances, won five of his seven duels in the game, and wasn't dribbled past once. It was a stellar performance from the Swiss centre-back. He showed his class late on the game with the score 2-1 and Wolves chasing another leveller.
Wolves' approach in those latter moments seemed to be to try and win free-kicks and test Newcastle from a set-piece, and as Jimenez went to try and win a foul by backing in Schar - undoubtedly hoping the defender would bundle into him or pull him down - Newcastle's number five stood his ground, simply allowing the Mexican striker to hit the floor and appeal in vain for a foul. Schar simply collected the ball and took Newcastle forward.
It was a marker for how Schar had read the game plan from the opposition.
The ball-boys impressive first touch
Just before half-time, a Newcastle United free-kick was whipped in and it fell to Schar who beat the defender only to see another Wolves player whack the ball into touch. The ball was heading for the East Stand when a young ball-boy on the touchline got to his feet and brought the ball down with an impressive touch.
It brought a cheer from the crowd - and even prompted Sky Sports to turn the clip around and show it in slow motion! Sky Sports' Martin Tyler called it a 'lovely touch', while Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher said: "Wow, the only thing we have to analyze at half-time is, is his touch better or Moutinho's? Well done young man."
It prompted Toon fans on Twitter to call for him to be signed up to the club - with some suggesting he genuinely is part of the academy. One fan said: "Man of the match was probably that East Stand ballboy."
A lovely moment.
Newcastle United's 'fake' time-wasting antics
With two minutes remaining of the five additional minutes added on at the end of the game, Newcastle won a corner. Miguel Almiron and Callum Wilson stood over it with Wolves' defender Nathan Collins and midfielder Matheus Nunes in close company. Almiron feigned to take a pass and the Wolves' played lunged forward.
As Almiron and Miggy protested, the two Wolves defenders stopped - with Collins turning to look at the referee and Nunes throwing his hands in the air. With the Wolves pair distracted, Almiron took the corner short to Wilson, got it back before passing it to Bruno Guimaraes who flicked it back to him and Almiron ran into the box, and pulled it back to Sven Botman who narrowly missed.
It would have been some goal. But the plaudits are coming for so-called 'fake time-wasting' antics. There's talk that it was to allow players to get into the box, and far from behind wound up or concerned about the close proximity of the Wolves' player, it was just a clever game plan to get into the box.
Jason Tindall left unhappy
With the clock ticking down for Wolves, there was a desperation to get the ball but with Newcastle taking their time over a free-kick, the opposition bench wasn't overly pleased. Toon assistant Jason Tindall wasted no time in telling one of the Wolves' coaches what he thought of their complaint, seemingly pointing out that the Wolves defence with the score at 1-1 had taken their time with a kick or two.
It got a bit heated - verbals, shall we say - with Tindall having to be pushed away several times by a member of Newcastle's coaching staff. With Eddie Howe quiet on the touchline, Tindall offers the loud and more animated half to the coaching pair which seems to offer a lovely balance.
Bruno Guimaraes interacts with fans after giving his all
It's not secret just how important Bruno Guimaraes is to Newcastle United, just as it's no surprise that Real Madrid have been linked to the Brazilan. Against Wolves, it was another top performance from the midfielder.
He covered so much ground, and as he won a foul late on, it was again no surprise that he took a few moments to take a rest, lying on his back flat out! Guimaraes won nine out of his 15 duels, drew the most fouls (4), while hitting 88% of his passes across the game and also making the most tackles (3) - reaffirming his importance.
At full-time, he was down on his knees having run himself into the ground. But in a lovely moment afterward, he ran over to a selection of ballboys and girls, and their faces told the story. They were over the moon that their hero came and shook their hands.
