Newcastle United are braced for news on whether next Saturday's game at home to AFC Bournemouth gets the green light.
The Magpies' away trip to West Ham was postponed along with the full slate of top-flight fixtures this weekend as a mark of respect following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Already, many Premier League clubs fear a second round of fixtures could be called off ahead of the Queen's funeral with police around the country set to be deployed to the capital.
However, it remains to be seen whether all fixtures are called off and the fact that cricket, rugby and horse racing has all gone ahead this weekend offers hopes that not every Premier League game will be postponed. Manchester City have confirmed their UEFA Champions League encounter with Borussia Dortmund is on this Tuesday.

In what is already a congested schedule - caused by the World Cup in November and December - there is barely any room to rearrange fixtures before Christmas. And it is understood that Premier League chiefs at least acknowledge that getting a few fixtures on next weekend is better than another complete call off.
However, Newcastle were waiting for news from the Premier League with talks expected to resume on Monday. A Premier League statement read: "Further updates regarding Premier League fixtures during the period of mourning will be provided in due course."
