When is the Carabao Cup final, Man Utd v Newcastle tickets, kick-off time and TV channel

Newcastle United are in the final of the Carabao Cup. In a monumental night on Tyneside, the Magpies clinched the win over Southampton and cemented their place in their first final since the turn of the century.

The Magpies started the game with a narrow edge over the Saints after a 1-0 victory last week. But thanks to two blinding goals from local lad Sean Longstaff, Eddie Howe's boys are heading for Wembley.

Southampton did manage to claw back a goal of their own in the 29th minute before a nail-biting second half that saw Bruno Guimarães shown a straight red and a couple of close calls. However, none of that matters and the Geordies will be heading to Wembley in a few weeks' time. Here's everything you need to know about getting to see the momentous occasion in person.

When is the Carabao Cup final?

Newcastle will face off against Manchester United in a repeat of the 1999 FA Cup final, the Magpies' last major final appearance at Wembley. They will meet at Wembley for the final on February 26, 2023.

What time does Carabao Cup final kick-off?

Like the majority of Sunday afternoon television games this season, the match will kick off at 4:30pm on February 26.

When will tickets go on sale?

Right now, it’s still not determined when tickets will go on sale or how much they’ll be. Each club will be allocated their own amount of tickets and will sell them via their own websites, however, we’ll have to wait for the outcome of Man Utd and Notts Forest first.

Last year, when Liverpool and Chelsea faced off in a truly nail-biting final that ended in a penalty shootout, Liverpool offered first dibs on final tickets to those who had attended at least three games from a selection of its Carabao Cup fixtures.

It is possible that Newcastle may mirror this system, with previous attendees, members and season ticket holders accessing tickets first. It is also highly likely that the club will employ its virtual queue system as used in previous ticket sales in order to manage the sale.

How much will tickets for the Carabao Cup final be?

The official pricing of the ticket is yet to be revealed and will be done only after the two finalists are decided. However, we can always refer to the ticket prices of the previous season which might give us an indication as to how much they will cost this time.

Category one tickets, the highest price available in level one, were £100 for adults, £75 for young adults and £50 for concessions. This tiered down to category five where adult tickets were £40, £30 for young adults and £20 for concessions.

Premium level two tickets were split into two categories with the highest costing £150 for adults and the lowest priced at £125.

How many tickets will be on sale?

Wembley Stadium can hold an immense 90,000 fans. In previous years, each club has been allocated around 33,000 tickets, though expect a chunk to be taken out of that for corporate seats, VIPs and the media.

Will the Carabao Cup final be on TV?

If you’re not lucky enough to bag tickets, or you decide that you’re not even going to bother, then fear not as the Carabao Cup final will definitely be on TV. Sky Sports will be showing the final and no doubt they’ll have a lot of coverage in the lead up to kick-off.
