Newcastle United have moved up into third in the Premier League after they beat Manchester United 2-0 at St James' Park on Sunday afternoon.
Second-half goals from Joe Willock and Callum Wilson saw Newcastle leapfrog Man United in the table. The Magpies are now ahead of the Red Devils on goal difference with 11 matches left to play this season.
Eddie Howe's side were by far the better team in the first-half but failed to capitalise on the number of chances that presented themselves, with Willock guilty of missing a couple of glorious opportunities to find the back of the net. But the former Arsenal man made it third time lucky after the breakl as he turned home from close range to open the scoring for the Magpies in the 65th minute.

Wilson then made it 2-0 just minutes from time as he headed home a Kieran Trippier free-kick past a helpless David de Gea in goal. The 31-year-old had failed to find the back of the net since February as he will no doubt take comfort from breaking that run given the fine form of Alexander Isak.
Elsewhere, it was yet another clean sheet for the Tyneside club - their second against Man United in the Premier League this season - as Dan Burn and Kieran Trippier kept the likes of Marcus Rashford, Antony and Anthony Martial quiet throughout the 90 minutes.
Allan Saint-Maximin also put in an energy-fuelled performance as he relentlessly hassled and harried the Man United backline, with Isak himself putting in another solid display despite failing to find the back of the net.
