Newcastle United transfer target Dominik Szoboszlai enjoyed a potentially perfect farewell at RB Leipzig after retaining the DFB Pokal. In what could be his final appearance for the club, the Hungary international netted the second goal in the 2-0 final win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Saturday.
Chelsea-bound Christopher Nkunku broke the deadlock in the 71st minute, before turning provider five minutes' from time. The forward found Szoboszlai in space in the area, and the 22-year-old confidently dispatched his effort beyond Kevin Trapp to net his 10th goal of the season.
The in-demand midfielder has done little to quell speculation over a summer move, recently admitting he has dreamed of a move to a 'big club' since he was child after being pressed again on the subject. It was the latest instance of Szoboszlai refusing to commit his future at the Red Bull Arena beyond the summer.

However, it is unlikely that Newcastle are the only club tracking the attacking midfielder this summer amid claims of a release clause in the region of £60 million. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has indicated 'important bids' from Premier League clubs are expected in this window.
Szoboszlai was pictured enjoying the scenes following the full-time whistle, and even lifting a flare to lead celebrations with supporters. The former Red Bull Salzburg prospect later took to social media to share a photo of himself with the trophy with the caption 'Back2Back', with Arsenal and Liverpool also recently linked with a summer deal.
