Raphinha 'verbal offer'
Newcastle United were among a host of Premier League clubs linked with a move for Raphinha last summer, following two successful seasons with Leeds United. However, the Brazil international held out for a move to Barcelona where he has so far registered 10 goals and 11 assists.
The runaway La Liga leaders ongoing financial predicament has led to reports suggesting summer sales could be on the cards. Despite an encouraging debut campaign, Raphinha might be viewed as saleable asset amid continued links to the Magpies.
Now, Spanish title Sport claim Newcastle have made a verbal offer in the region of £70 million to sign the 26-year-old. Barcelona's position on a prospective sale is not clear among a number of reports, although Xavi is blessed with wide options in his squad such as Ousmane Dembele and Ansu Fati.

Dumfries 'enquiry'
Kieran Trippier was the first signing of the new era on Tyneside, and will likely remain the undisputed starter at right-back for the new season. Emil Krafth continues to recover from a long-term injury, while Harrison Ashby has started the last two under-21 fixtures after suffering a number of minor injury setbacks since signing in January.
The regular links to Kieran Tierney indicate a new left-back will be a priority this summer. However, Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness suggest Denzel Dumfries could also be a target in the upcoming window.
Inter Milan need to balance the books, and the Netherlands international along with Marcelo Brozovic and Andre Onana, have been named as potential sales to raise funds. The report claims Newcastle have made an enquiry for Dumfries, with a fee in the region of £26m mooted for the 27-year-old.
