The latest Newcastle transfer news indicates that Eddie Howe’s side are exploring the possibility of tabling bids for Bryan Mbeumo and Antoine Semenyo.
On Wednesday, the Magpies and Liverpool played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at St James’ Park. The result leaves the Magpies in 10th spot and without a win in three Premier League games.
Super Swede Alexander Isak thumped home the opener before Anthony Gordon missed a glorious chance to make it 2-0. After the break, the Reds hit back through Curtis Jones.
Gordon made amends with 62 minutes on the clock as he put the home side back in the lead. The Merseysiders swung the game back in their favour when Mo Salah helped himself to a brace to make it 3-2.
However, Fabian Schar capitalised on a Caoimhin Kelleher error to steer home a deserved equaliser in the last minute of a frantic affair.
Despite scoring three times against the runaway league leaders, Howe is still looking for ways to increase the forward line in NE1.
🚨 Newcastle United are monitoring Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo and Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo ahead of a potential transfer.

Newcastle Transfer News Suggests Toon Army Are Keeping Tabs On Bryan Mbeumo And Antoine Semenyo
Alexander Isak’s future has been a hot topic for debate in recent weeks. The Swede has plenty of suitors and Newcastle have slapped a £115 million price tag on his head.
Naturally, the Magpies would not want to lose their star man for any fee. Especially to a Premier League rival but the time may come where that comes to fruition.
Therefore, identifying the likes of Bryan Mbeumo and Antoine Semenyo as potential replacements can be regarded as a smart move from the Toon Army’s perspective.
As it stands, the price tags for the Brentford and Bournemouth stars would be far too hefty to meet. Also, the PSR constraints currently limit Newcastle’s transfer activity.
With that in mind, only if the likes of Isak or Bruno Guimarães were sold could the Magpies further their pursuit of Mbeumo and Semenyo.
Both players have produced a number of eye-catching displays in 2024/25. Between them, they have scored 12 goals and provided two assists in the top-flight.
Boss Eddie Howe admitted earlier this week that the club may have grown ‘stale’ due to their lack of new signings in the summer. With January on the horizon, the Toon Army are unlikely to conduct too much activity.
That is why any potential bids for Mbeumo and Semenyo will have to be made at the end of the current season. That’s only if the Geordies free up some funds and satisfy PSR rules.
Mbeumo has already attracted plenty of interest from rival clubs and so to has Semenyo. The 24-year-old is reportedly on Liverpool’s radar as a potential Mo Salah replacement.
