Former Newcastle United striker Andy Cole believes even Manchester City and Real Madrid would struggle to tempt Bruno Guimaraes away from Tyneside. Both clubs are said to be admirers of the Brazilian international, who has been one of the standout performers since arriving in January last year.
Guimaraes is already a fan favourite and viewed as one of the best midfielders to pull on the black and white of Newcastle, in recent history. The deep-lying playmaker has helped transform the Magpies from relegation fodder into European contenders and has been dubbed world class by Cole.
The former Toon frontman believes Guimaraes and Alexander Isak are the only two superstars at the club, but believes a top-four finish could pave the way for more world class talent.

“It will be very hard for any team like Manchester City, Real Madrid or anyone else to get Bruno Guimaraes out of Newcastle," Cole told King Casino Bonus. "They have the financial backing now so they can turn down any offer they receive for him.
"If Newcastle get top four, I think they will spend a lot of money in the summer because they can attract a lot more players, but they will be aware of Financial Fair Play. Except for Alexander Isak and Guimaraes, Newcastle don't have any outstanding superstars and they need to be able to score more goals.
"However, they are a very good team, clean sheets are no problem for them, if they can score more goals than they will achieve Champions League football.”
