Liverpool will soon be gearing up for another season of Premier League football and will be hoping to enjoy a more memorable campaign in comparison to last term.
The Reds ended up fifth in the division after failing to develop any form of consistency and will therefore not be competing in the Champions League for the first time since 2015/16.
Alexis Mac Allister represented the first arrival at Anfield this summer as Liverpool look to get back to challenging for trophies and further additions are expected to the squad in the coming weeks.
Liverpool's rivals are also beginning to transform their squads as the transfer window begins to hot up. Below is a round-up of the latest deals in the pipeline for the Reds' main competitors.

Manchester United
Erik ten Hag is reportedly prepared to offload up to 13 players this summer as he plans an overhaul of his squad. Among those United are looking to sell include Fred, Donny van de Beek, Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay. The Daily Mail add Jadon Sancho (£45m) and Anthony Martial (£25m) could also be on their way out should the aforementioned prices be met.
The report states it is hoped United can raise up to £100million through player sales to be used on prospective purchases. Ten Hag is believed to have a budget of around £120m for new signings.
One player who is now emerging as a possible recruit is Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, with the Red Devils making contact with the player's representatives. Rabiot is out of contract this summer, though the Athletic have stated his current employers are 'attempting to convince him' to stay.
Chelsea
Chelsea are seemingly unwilling to meet Brighton's £80million valuation of Moises Caicedo.
The Londoners are currently on the lookout for a new midfielder after parting ways with Mateo Kovacic and N'Golo Kante and are understood to be admirers of Caicedo.
A stumbling block as regards this deal, however, could prove to be the Seagulls' asking price. The Times have made clear Chelsea have informed Brighton they have no plans to meet the figure being quoted for the Ecuador international.
Manchester City
The reigning Premier League champions appear to keen on bolstering their defence this summer. RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol is one player City are admirers of and have now tabled an opening bid worth £77m for the Croatian star.
That is according to Sky Germany, who state the 21-year-old has verbally agreed to join Pep Guardiola's side. Sky state it is simply now a case of the two clubs reaching an agreement after Gvardiol making clear of his intention to make this move.
Liverpool have previously emerged as a possible destination for Gvardiol, who has already publicly declared his love for the Reds. "My dream club? That would definitely be Liverpool," he said. Since I was little, I watched a lot of their matches with my dad. We covered every season in detail. It is a club that has remained in my heart".
Arsenal
Arsenal have supposedly submitted a second proposal to Ajax for Jurrien Timber as they look to seal a deal for the Dutchman.
The Gunners saw an opening bid worth £30m for the versatile defender rejected last week, though Fabrizio Romano has claimed talks are 'advancing' between the clubs. Personal terms have already been agreed and the 22-year-old is in line for a five-year contract at the club.
Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs are set to 'renew' their efforts to lure James Maddison to the capital, though must work to find a compromise with Leicester City over the fee involved for the English midfielder.
The Daily Mail have suggested the Foxes are holding out for £60m for their prized asset, who is likely to leave the club following their relegation from the Premier League. Tottenham's initial proposal for Maddison is described as being half of the figure the Lilywhites are holding out for.
Newcastle United
Staying on the topic of Maddison, Newcastle could look to hijack Spurs' move for the 26-year-old. It is added the Magpies' £52m outlay on Sandro Tonali, which could rise further if add-ons are met, is not expected to restrict them from rivalling Tottenham in this transfer battle.
