Newcastle United supporters have mixed feelings after Eddie Howe named an unchanged XI to face Southampton this evening. The Magpies have struggled in the final third in recent weeks with supporters calling for Allan Saint-Maximin and Alexander Isak to come into the fold tonight.
However, Howe has named an unchanged side from the team that drew with Crystal Palace at the weekend. Both Saint-Maximin and Isak came off the bench against the Eagles but neither were able to find a goal.
Newcastle are looking to put one foot in the Wembley showpiece final with a strong performance against the Saints. Howe's men ran out 4-1 winners earlier on in the season.

However, Nathan Jones has taken over Southampton and has seen somewhat of an upturn in fortune in recent weeks.
Here's what Newcastle United supporters had to say about Eddie Howe's team news:
@Luke9S said: "It’s really time for Isak and/or ASM to be starting."
@GazToon9 said: "Isak is clearly and rightly so be managed properly after his injury. Everyone would be going mad if he pulled up after half an hour."
@mygirlsmyworldx tweeted: "A little surprised Isak isn't starting. Think Willock will be so important this game on the break as they will be pushing a lot 1st leg, hopefully catch them out."
@GingerPirlo_ said: "We have really struggled to put away chances past 4/5 games, yet go with the same front three? In Eddie we trust but this looks very much like a 0-0 at HT and hope the subs do the business."
@SteveCurry1970 said: "Howe has said Isak isn’t fully match ready and let’s face it ASM has done nothing to deserve a start. Right decision"
@Tenno98 said: "Whilst I do feel we should be starting Isak and ASM. I have fully faith in Eddie. I hope it pays off though. I do hope he at least gives Isak and ASM a lot of minutes, though."
@Boshhhhhh tweeted: "Trust Eddie but don’t gotta agree with him and I don’t here. One of maxi or isak should have started if not both."
