Newcastle supporters react after Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak setbacks ahead of Wolves

Newcastle United fans have been left worried by the absence of both record signing Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes from the squad to face Wolves. The Magpies will be aiming to extend their unbeaten start to the new season in the clash at Molineux on Sunday afternoon.

Isak's blockbuster arrival from Real Sociedad was confirmed on Friday, but United were rocked by news that the striker's work permit did not arrive in time for the Sweden international to feature this weekend. Guimaraes also joined Callum Wilson on the sidelines, with the former Lyon star picking up a knock during the week.

Eddie Howe named 10 changes for the midweek Carabao Cup win at Tranmere Rovers, with Joe Willock the only player to keep his place in the side. The former Arsenal midfielder starts again against Bruno Lage's side, with Nick Pope returning in goal.

Sven Botman partners Fabian Schar in the heart of defence again, with Kieran Trippier and Dan Burn at full-back. Sean Longstaff takes Guimaraes' spot as the midfield anchor, with Joelinton and Willock also in the engine room.

Chris Wood keeps his place up top with Wilson's injury, and Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin continue on the flanks following their goalscoring exploits against Manchester City. Here is how Newcastle fans reacted to the double setback with Guimaraes and Isak ahead of the clash with Wolves.

'Getting exposed'

'No Isak or Bruno'
