Newcastle set for mega-money windfall after signing Amazon 'All or Nothing' deal

Newcastle are set to earn £10million from a money-spinning documentary that is set to be aired on Amazon before the start of the 2023/24 campaign.

The Magpies are in pole position to qualify for the Champions League next season and sit third, eight points above fifth-place Tottenham ahead of their game against Southampton on Sunday.

More importantly, Newcastle also have a game in hand on Spurs and could stretch that gap even further should they beat rock-bottom Saints and Tottenham lose at Liverpool.

Aston Villa aren't out of the chase yet, however, while Liverpool and Brighton will also have their sights set on a Champions Place instead of fourth-spot Manchester United or Newcastle.

Nevertheless, it has been a terrific campaign for the Toon Army and fans will be able to see it all in an exclusive Amazon documentary, according to the Daily Mail. It is understood the Magpies are hoping to pocket the same amount as Manchester City did when their 'All or Nothing' series was released in 2018.

Sources close to the Mail have confirmed that the figure is set to be north of £10m. It will be a four-part series that is expected to document a busy summer of transfer incomings, their rise from relegation candidates to Champions League contenders, and the journey to the Carabao Cup final.

Newcastle ended up losing out to Man Utd at Wembley in February as the Toon Army reached their first domestic final for over 20 years. It didn't finish the way the Magpies would have hoped for, but there was definite signs of progress under Eddie Howe and the Saudi-backed ownership.

They have spent over £200million since the new owners came into the club and Newcastle are expected to be busy once again this summer. However, Howe will be determined to get the job done first and qualify for the Champions League ahead of Liverpool, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Brighton should Man Utd also get there.

Speaking ahead of the game against Southampton, Howe said: " It's a difficult game. I think they are fighting. They were very good against the league leaders, they scored three goals and looked a real threat in transitions and set plays. We've played Southampton three times I think this season so we know their qualities - they're a good team."

“It's going to be difficult. Winning is everything. It’s what you’re paid to do, but it’s what you plan to do."

"I'm so proud of everyone connected with the club this year with what we’ve given—players, staff, board, everyone and we feel really united at the moment," Howe added. " Things are going well and we’re not taking that for granted because we know quickly it can change. We’re enjoying the feeling we’re having and long may that continue."
