Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe will make a late call on Alexander Isak ahead of the clash with West Ham.
The Sweden international charged down a James Ward-Prowse set-piece thunderbolt with his head and was knocked down against Southampton amid the intensity of the League Cup semi-final second leg. Since then Isak and Newcastle have followed protocols and concussion.
Howe said: "Alex made a vital contribution in that moment. "He was able to jump and block the free-kick but took a blow to the side of the head and had very slight signs of concussion.

"We've followed all the protocols but whether he'll be available, I'm not sure.
"James Ward-Prowse’s free-kick, naturally we discussed those situations a lot in the build-up to both games and knowing how good he is he (Isak) blocked the free-kick and took a blow to the side of the head."
Howe was unable to confirm Isak's inclusion in the squad for the clash against West Ham on Saturday night. But did say: "He’s been around (training) and looked fine. "I don’t know he had any ill affects, or any ill affects the next day. "Every day he’s felt better, so he’s fine."
