After dropping several hints throughout girlfriend Ana's pregnancy as to what their first child would be called, Bruno Guimaraes has confirmed his baby son's name, as players and fans rush to congratulate the couple.
Bruno and Ana both took to Instagram late on Friday night to share the news that Ana had given birth to the little one, days after Bruno starred in Newcastle United' s 1-0 home win over Everton. Sharing a photo of the now family of three on his Insta grid, Bruno wrote a lengthy caption in Portugese, which, when translated to English read: 'Welcome to the world son! It is with great joy that I announce the arrival of my first child, without a doubt today is the best day of my life!"
Heaping praise on other half Ana, Brazilian midfielder Bruno added: "First of all I want to congratulate you my love, you are a warrior you were and you are, after everything you've been through in your life to see you do all your strength, go over every contraction and the love you've already shown for our son has no explanation!! I respect you more every day for the woman you are! Without a doubt the woman of my life!"
The Magpies fan favourite ended the post: "I love you more than anything, I will certainly never forget today! Thank you, God! To the lord all honour and glory." And it was in snaps on his Instagram story that Bruno revealed that his son's name is Matteo.
A whole host of stars have rushed to congratulate Bruno and Ana, including Ant and Dec who reacted to the footballer's post with love heart emojis. Bruno's teammates, NUFC defender responded: "Congrats to you both," while former Toon Army keeper Martin Dbravka wrote: "Baby boy, congrats brother."
