Newcastle Pride acts and stage times as Melanie C, Louise and more set to entertain at Town Moor

There are now just days to go until Northern Pride's UK Pride celebrations in Newcastle with a vast and varied line-up of acts ready to entertain across the weekend.

Newcastle was announced as the latest city to get UK Pride back in 2018, with Tyneside all set to stage the event in 2020. However, Covid had other ideas, forcing festivities to be put on hold for two years in a row, with online activities marking the occasion instead.

However, four years after the big announcement and three years since the last time there was a Newcastle Pride, the Town Moor will be a hotbed of activity from July 22 -24. Friday night is a ticketed fundraising party, featuring worldwide superstar Todrick Hall, Crying for No Reason and Lights On singer Katy B, top DJs Jodie Harsh and Dean McCullogh and Drag Race UK icon Bimini.

Pride Saturday will get started, as it always does with a march through the city centre, with the procession making its way from the Civic Centre up to the Moor. And those who attend the FREE celebrations have plenty to look forward to.

Saturday's bill includes stars from Newcastle phenomenon Drag Idol, including 2019 champion Choriza May, as well as Consett dance diva Karen Harding and Spice Girl icon Melanie C, who will round things off with a DJ set. Acts on stage on Sunday include Boulevard's own Danni Dee and the Broadway dancers, former X Factor winner Joe McElderry and Eternal star turned solo singing siren Louise.
