Newcastle Pride Be Scene stage acts and times as local drag stars, singers and DJs set to entertain

It was one of the most talked about elements of Newcastle Pride three years ago and the Be Scene stage is ready to be seen and heard this year as an eclectic line-up of acts get set to entertain.

As the future of the much loved cabaret stage at Pride came under serious threat in 2019 due to funding, Newcastle drag host and performer Plastiq and Powerhouse DJ Michael Maddison teamed up to host a massive fundraise r to secure its place on the line-up.

The event, held at cabaret haunt Boulevard brought in nearly £9,000, to the delight of all those who were desperate for cabaret to remind a big part of the Pride festivities. After that success in 2019, Be Scene will once again have its own stage at the Town Moor, as Newcastle hosts UK Pride.

The Be Scene entertainment, just like the main stage acts, will run across both Saturday and Sunday, with well known faces from the local drag community sharing the spotlight with a string of local DJs.
