Co-owners Jamie Reuben and Mehrdad Ghodoussi honoured Newcastle United’s travelling support after the 4-1 win against Fulham. Last-minute rail strikes were not enough to disrupt Toon fans from descending on the capital in their droves.
The 1,900 who made the 580-mile trip were treated to a goal fest as the Magpies coasted to their second win of the season. Goals from Callum Wilson, Miguel Almiron (x2) and Sean Longstaff brushed aside a 10-man Fulham outfit and fired Newcastle up to seventh.
As usual, prominent board members were in attendance to watch the emphatic victory. Amanda Staveley was videoed alongside Declan Donnelly outside Craven Cottage after the game engaging in post-match chanting and celebrations.

Her husband, fellow co-owner Ghodoussi, praised the “magnificent” away fans for their loyalty to the team on social media.
Jamie Reuben also chimed in to commend those who made the awkward journey to West London. Strikes forced many Newcastle fans to arrange transport to York before catching a train to King’s Cross station.
Players, too, were also quick to express their delight online following the win. Bruno Guimaraes was a doubt before kick-off but played an hour and was hooked with the scoreline at 4-0. The Brazilian praised away supporters while highlighting his happiness at Newcastle ending their six-game winless league run.
Post-match team photos after a win became a symbol of the Magpies’ resurgence under Eddie Howe last season. To align with tradition, the club’s official media channel shared the customary victory pose from the Craven Cottage dressing room.
