Newcastle pair Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes get special matching haircuts ahead of cup final

Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes have both got matching haircuts ahead of Newcastle United's Carabao Cup final against Manchester United at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

The Brazilian pair have had Newcastle's black and white colours dyed into their new trim in the shape of a love heart, which has not gone unnoticed by the Toon faithful.

One fan tweeted: 'Right, that's it. I didn't think I could love big Joe more than I do until I saw this.' While a second wrote: 'Joelinton and Bruno matching haircuts, we're winning that cup Sunday'.

Both players have been key to Newcastle's remarkable rise under Eddie Howe. Joelinton has undergone an extraordinary transformation from run-of-the-mill striker to dangerous box-to-box midfielder, while Guimaraes' importance has been proven in his absence over the past three games.

Guimaraes has missed the last three matches in the Premier League after he was shown a straight red card for a high challenge on Southampton's Samuel Edozie in the semi-final second leg.

He is set to return for Newcastle's Wembley showpiece, as they prepare to contest their first domestic cup final in 24 years on the weekend. The Magpies will be looking to lift the League Cup for the first time, after losing their previous final in this competition against Manchester City in 1976.
