Dan Burn has admitted that he would not like to be an opposing player facing Newcastle United at St James' Park right now because there is not an atmosphere like it in the country.
St James' has become a fortress again under Eddie Howe and Newcastle have only lost one Premier League game at home in 2022 - and that was against a Liverpool side chasing a quadruple at the time. To put that record into perspective, league leaders Arsenal have lost two top-flight fixtures at the Emirates in the same period while third-placed Spurs have suffered three defeats at home in 2022.
Newcastle have picked up nearly two-thirds of their points this season at St James' and the Magpies have not started a Premier League campaign this well at home since 2011. After years of sitting back, front-footed Newcastle are finally playing like a home side again.

The noise and spectacle a united fanbase have created has helped and Wor Flags unveiled another stunning display to mark the first anniversary of the takeover before Saturday's 5-1 win against Brentford. Howe thanked supporters after the game for creating a 'feeling around the stadium' that enabled the players to 'express themselves in a really positive way'.
Burn, a former season ticket holder at St James', has certainly enjoyed playing at home and the Geordie said the atmosphere 'gives us that extra bit'.
"It helps with Wor Flags," the Newcastle defender told talkSPORT. "When the flags are up, I don't think there's an atmosphere like it in the country at the minute. We feed off it, feed off each other, and I wouldn't like to come and play at St James' away."
