Newcastle City Council local election results 2022: How every candidate scored

Just one seat changed hands in Newcastle on local elections night in 2022, as Labour held off a series of challenges across the city.

While the Lib Dems edged out a narrow gain from Labour in Ouseburn, the city's ruling party retained a dominant majority on the council. It was a positive result for Labour after a tumultuous few months that has seen long-serving council leader Nick Forbes ousted after 11 years in charge at the civic centre.

Below are the full results for every city ward from election day on Thursday, May 5.

You can also see updates as results are declared in the widgets below which will update throughout election night and Friday (as well as following live updates from the counts in our blog ).
