Eddie Howe admits that Ryan Fraser is a doubt for Newcastle United’s clash with Leicester City on Sunday. The Scotland winger limped off against Wolverhampton Wanderers with a hamstring injury last Friday night and has not trained this week so
far.
Now the Toon head coach must assess he fitness ahead of the encounter with the Foxes. Howe said at his Press conference: “I don’t think it’s too bad.
“But it was enough to bring him off, we had a scan and it showed a very small problem. So hopefully it won’t be too long for him and we will have to see whether he makes this game.”

Newcastle, though, will welcome back Joe Willock who has recovered from a bout of illness. Although there is still a few issues on that score hanging around the camp.
Howe added: “Joe has made good progress this week and has trained, we hope to have him fit. As I sit here now we have a bit of illness in the camp which has been with us most of the season so we are looking at that closely.”
