In the nearly three weeks since mobile sports betting went live in New York on Jan. 9, sportsbooks in the state have accepted more than $1.1 billion in bets, according to report released by the New York State Gaming Commission.
The amount of money wagered in that time puts New York on pace to eclipse the amount of any other state in a single month, according to an ESPN report. New York is trending to wager more than the $1.3 billion in bets handled by New Jersey in November.
As more sportsbook options have become available, New York has seen an increase in wagers week-over-week. The state went from $171 million the first week to $431 million last week and $572 million this week.

According to available reports, Caesars Sportsbook has seen the majority of that action, having handled $229 million this week alone. Caesars is followed by FanDuel, DraftKings, the recently launched BetMGM, and BetRivers.
A report wasn’t yet available for PointsBet, which began its New York launch this week. Yet to launch are BallyBet, WynnBet and Resorts World Bet.
